Getting your blog in technorati won't mean that you will surely get a PR. It is just one site. And PR is all about the quantity and quality of your links. Don't rely on just one site.

PR depends on the several factor. The no of backlinks, the quality of backlinks where the backlink exists.
Only one site cant boost your PR, if would have been then everybody will have 10 backlinks to get PR 10.

Technocrati is a good site which not only gives you traffic but also backlinks.
Try to work on your site.Make quality backlinks as much as you can and wait for next PR update to see the changes to your PR

If you have a blog, technorati can be very helpful. If you will "claim" that blog name with technorati, you can get some traffic and a backlink for Google.

Submitting your content to technoratti and other social bookmarking sites probably provides some marginal benefit to your SERPs but not a lot.

I agree with you, technorati is very useful if you have a blog then you can get some valueable backlink or traffic too from claming that blog with technorati.

technorati is useful in following ways:

1. Even though the listing links are not dofollow, it can provide a reasonable amout of traffic to your website.

2. Technorati tags are dofollow and contribute a significant role in boosting Page Rank. I do understand one back link is not enough but it is a good source of link juice.
