To top ranking in search engine you should do lots of work.Optime your site very vell,choose most relevant keywords,optimze metataga aroung those keywords.Try to get some good backlinks.

2.Page titles must be concise and descriptive (better to include keywords)
3.URL should be search engine friendly
4.Build quality links thru directories and other link building techniques
5.Avoid or minimize using frames and other scripts that are non-detectable by search engine spiders
6.Continuous optimization
7.Research for the latest news, issues and the do's and dont's in SEO

I support aira for what she has posted.... Continous SEO work is needed to obtain your goal. Especially offpage SEO (link building)
