Factors- Targetting Right Keywords

Post by johnwilson1 »

From SEO Point of view, what are the factors(in addition to given below)that should be kept in mind for targetting the Right keywords?

1. Searches for the keyword.
2. Competiting Websites/Pages
3. Keyword Rank(Position where ur WebSite stands in SERPs for a keyword)

Is it necessary to use Adwords(CTR,CPC) for the same?

Or
Can we target right keywords without using the Adwords?

I personally suggest that you use the Google Adwords tool in keyword selection and research. It gives you the most comprehensive keyword suggestions, plus you'll know the search volume.

You can also use Wordtracker.com for keyword research. This will help you figure out exactly what keywords people are really searching for, how competitive it is to get high rankings in the search engines for them, and even find some unexpected gems that you probably wouldn’t have ever come up with yourself.

You don’t necessarily want to focus only on terms that get a lot of searches. These keywords tend to have a lot more competition, making it much harder to get top rankings for them. Think about who your competing with and possibly search for a better, less searched phrase to help target in on your market even better.
