Or maybe they see some better lens than yours which has more interesting content than yours.

In order to get good traffic from Squidoo lens, you need to make attention-grabbing contents. Readers might not find yours interesting enough.

You need to optimize and promote it effectively like any online service, just creating a lens doesn't guarantee you traffic or money

I agree. I've just completed my second lens. Still trying to get the system all figured out.

As a fresh content, your squidoo lens would attract visitors, but it'll subside if you can't get or maintain good ranking for it.

Based on the info provided, which is very limited. it's hard to determine the cause. You need to dig deeper to figure why the sudden drop in traffic, considering day of week, original traffic source, etc.

try to update it, just change it around to see whether it helps, maybe reducing the number of outgoing links. but the most likely reason is, as many other posters suggested, that readers do not find your lens interesting enough and the time they spend on it is less than on you competitors' lenses and therefore yours gets downgraded.

To get good quality traffic you need to post hot, well written topics. Cheack out Google Trends and then get some well written commentary on your lens that gives people more insight on a specific subject.

For Squidoo traffic Content works. Write good content, highly keyword optimized content, and you're going to get traffic to your squidoo page.
Once you get traffic to your Squidoo page, you send that traffic to your squeeze page or to your website and really it isn't much simpler than that.
