When linking to other pages in your website should you link directly to the page or to an anchor on the page you are linking to?

In creating links, you should use the anchor text (target keyword) that points to your site/page. That's the proper way of doing it.

Anchor text is one of the most important factor for ranking well in the search engines.

Not only must you get links containing your main keyword(s) in the anchor text, from other websites, but you should also link to other webpages within your own website, using your main keyword(s) in the anchor text.

use a text base link and if you are making a link on your contents try also using the text formating like bold or italic to emphasize that it is a link and it helps your page index faster..... :?

Links are supposed to be clickable. Don't forget to use the right anchor text for your link. That's the proper way of doing it.
