Link wheel creation is a technique in which you have to create a wheel of links and you have to give link to main blog also from other blogs

Nope they dont work in todays time. I have done all possible experiments in the past, some of which had good results and some bad.

Search engines have become sophisticated now. Even if any of the black hat strategies work today , they will be short lived and often times will result into penalization

The very basic explanation would be, Web 2.0 properties linking to each other and linking to your money website. And it helps you rank for many keywords quite quickly. Like if you have Blog on WordPress its Web 2.0 site you have to make internal linking with another web 2.0 sites and Also with your Main sites that will gives your Quality Back link that will boost your Keywords and Traffic

Link wheel is a black hat SEO technique. It involves building Web2.0 properties with a link flow targeting the mail URL to be promoted.

Putting in a simple example,

Say websites A, B, C, D are in hospitality business.
A will put a link to B, B to C, C to D, and D to A.

This indirect linking is similar to Reciprocal linking (black hat technique) but in a less obvious way.
There can be many more websites interlinking and completing the chain.
