Can anyone tell me the best types of links to build for my site.
Not only links that will help my SERP but also links that will get traffic to my site from the links themselves?

Links from high PR and authority sites are the best types of links. You can build one-way links through forum posting, article submission, etc. Reciprocal and 3-way links are also possible using a link exchange scheme.

natural links are the best... When somebody gives you a one-way link to your site from their content as a reference or recommendation. This can also be good for both traffic and SEO

I think the best way to build backlinks is forum posting with giving genuine answers having your links in signatures. Blog commenting is also a great part to build good links for the site.

Relevant links are the best links you should build for your site. Avoid linking to link farms for they can harm your ranking.
