The Google Sandbox is an alleged filter placed on new websites. Sandbox acts as a temporary filter for new websites before they can go live on Google search results page.

Google Sandbox is an imaginary area where new websites and their search rating are put on hold until they prove worthy for ranking. In other words, it checks the standard of the website.

The Google Sandbox is much related to a new website being placed on probation, and kept lower than expected in searches, prior to being given full value for its incoming links and content. The Sandbox acts as defect experimentation for sites, possibly to put off spam sites from rising quickly, getting banned, and repeating the process.

The Google Sandbox is an alleged filter placed on new websites. The result is that a site does not receive good rankings for its most important keywords and keyword phrases. Even with good content, abundant incoming links and strong Google PageRank, a site is still adversely affected by the Sandbox effect.

When the Sandbox filter is applied, this phenomenon is called placed in "probation". Your website will still display in the results page, but it will not rank well even though your initial time is very well positioned, also optimized for content and has a lot of quality backlinks.
It is important to note that the sandbox filter is not a punishment for anything you have done with your site.

Google Sandbox is an imaginary space where the search engine keeps the newly launched website and low authority sites for a fixed period of time for review. It eventually releases the sites after reviewing it & decide its ranking accordingly.
If your website is put in a Google Sandbox, they are two scenarios that could be considered. Either they consider you a spam and remove you from the SERP or they re-review your sites & release you with may be even better ranking in SERP.
