Link Exchanges: They are very important for your page rank on the search engines because a search engine spider such as googlebot will crawl a webpage and will record how many links there are coming into your website and usually the more you have the higher the page rank you are, it also better to link to websites that are relevant to the sort of content in your website. If you sell consumer electronics it is best to link to websites that either talk about consumer electronics or sell them.
3. Blogs/Articles: Writing Blogs and articles will get you recognised but only if what you are writing has good content because blogging and writing articles with bad content just to get website traffic is almost like spamming. Anyone can write a blog because everyone has a special knowledge of something be it selling products on internet auction sites or SEO there will always be some people that are interested in the subject. Don’t just have a link that displays the web address of your website because this has no effect of being a keyword. If you sell consumer electronics have the link display something like ‘MP3 players’ as a search engine spider will class it as a keyword link to your website.
