My Basic SEO Techniques.

Here are my Search Engine Optimization basics that I use to promote my sites.
Note that they are merely listed in details and you can add any further idea to it.
Here is it:
First is to build the site,
Second is to write good SE optimized contents on it with at least 20 pages all related to one topic,
Third is to submit it to search engines,
Fourth is to ensure it has been indexed by Google,
and lastly then, I start to build backlinks towards it by submitting articles, forum signatures and blog commentings.
These are my SE technique that I've been using and it works if done properly.

I agree..it is the process which is followed mostly. However each of the process is not simple. One need to do lot of study and research. After all, SEO paid off after lot of hard work and patience..

Yes that is a good strategy, I also agree with it because its really the good step to promote a site.

I would have suggested that you plan your SEO BEFORE building the site. It determines things like the domain name and the page titles
Also instead of submitting to the search engines, let them find you. Through links to your site from other sites. It means your website gets indexed faster

Yeah it is right! Just bear in mind that SEO is a continues process.
So that your site will reach it goals.

I appreciate that creating sites with good content is vital, however, surely 20+ page sites are unnecessary much of the time. I see many sites ranking top 3 in Google with no more than a couple of pages plus contact info etc. How long they'll stay there is debatable, but what advice would anyone give for someone wanting to create small sites??

also add email marketing and press release (offpage)

Just use the 2 way methods which are On-page optimization and off-page optimization process.

Right you have to optimized the pages first before you promote it. Research on appropriate keywords on each web pages and after optimizing, you can start submitting it to SEs and let SEs indexed it. Keep up the good work and hope you achieve your goals.
