I'm currently working on a site on the "make money online" niche and the people I want to optimize it for are people who wants to make money online but I feel that just repeating "make money online" isn't enough and so I need your help on this.
It is like this.
If you want to know how to make money online, what search query will you input into the search box?

sorry to appear bemused, but if you are optimizing for a keyword, are you making sure it has lot of traffic, and also that you can in fact rank for it.
The making money online keyword would surely be so heavy on competition that ranking would be a nightmare.
Or am i getting the wrong end of the stick?
cheers

That looks like a very competitive niche. I suggest you make it more specific, like putting other words with it such as tips or articles.

Why don't you try to target a long keyword? Just concerned because make money online is very competitive.. I guess you need to use some reliable tools upon doing keyword analysis.
You can try Google insight in comparing two keywords.

Well, at least I was not posting in the wrong ball park there. I found quite a few long tail keywords in the finance area which are ripe for the picking, although even if the domain names are available, the competition on page 1 of Google is usually pretty tough. High PR sites with a lot of backlinks etc.
However, if you search hard there are still plenty of quality keywords to be had, albeit, often with low searches per month.

the keyword make money online is having a high competition. it will be difficult for you to optimized that keyword and to get a good search engine ranking. I would suggest to choose long tail keywords, for example - how to make money online, make money online for free or something like that. It still focusing on the word make money online.
