Auto refreshing program.

I was wondering if any of you know anything about the little programs that "auto-refresh" your site every few seconds. I was thinking about running in on my site, but wanted to know if Google and Yahoo bots would catch on and penalize me for that ? Any advice ???? anyone ??? Thanks

I would like to know; why you want to do auto refresh ? any specific reason.

refreshing your page looks like a "hit" google bots like pages with alot of views ...

If you are doing it for misguiding bot and attracting it, then you are wrong. Google can read each and every part of our site and if it finds something wrong or against it’s algorithm then it will be going to punish you.
Don’t play with it you may get hurt

ahh .. I'll take your advice, kinda new to all of this .. What would you suggest I do to get more relevant traffic to my site ?
