Top Two Google Ranking Factors

Post by ketawabebas »

The top two Google ranking factors are:

1. PageRank
2. Incoming Text Link Keywords

I'll explain each in more detail and what you MUST do to maximize the effectiveness of each element.

1. PageRank

PageRank is determined by the number and quality of links to a page. Both the quantity and quality of text links are important. Always try to get links from web pages with a PageRank rating of at least four.

Concentrate on getting as many different quality sites as possible to link to one page on your site, usually your home page. Do not spread the links to different pages. This will maximize the PageRank of your main page, plus those of the subpages.

2. Incoming Text Link Keywords

ALWAYS provide text links for linking to your site. Avoid image links.

Google does index image links, but without any text for it to index, it won't help your link popularity rating for your important keywords.

I really agree with what you said. And I'm doing that process now. Thankfully its effective. As long as you do the right process of link building. ;)

1. PageRank
2. Incoming Text Link Keywords
It is very sad to see another webmaster who considers PR and the number of the inbound links. I'm sorry but I must say that you're wrong. The number of the inbound link doesn't matters because irrelevant backlinks with low pagerank less likely improve your ranking. A single PR1 relevant link will help you more than five PR1 irrelevant links, and they will also help you to gain traffic (because the users who visit the website are interested in this niche).

The Pagerank is just a ranking factor and I wouldn't place it into the top3 factors.

Finally you left out the most important ranking factor, the content of the site. You can have millions of backlinks, high pr but you will not rank good if your content is low quality, in worst case copied from other websites.

The number and the quality of the inbound links is important, but not more important than the content and it's quality.
