Top Two Google Ranking Factors

The top two Google ranking factors are:

1. PageRank
2. Incoming Text Link Keywords

I'll explain each in more detail and what you MUST do to maximize the effectiveness of each element.

1. PageRank

PageRank is determined by the number and quality of links to a page. Both the quantity and quality of text links are important. Always try to get links from web pages with a PageRank rating of at least four.

Concentrate on getting as many different quality sites as possible to link to one page on your site, usually your home page. Do not spread the links to different pages. This will maximize the PageRank of your main page, plus those of the subpages.

2. Incoming Text Link Keywords

ALWAYS provide text links for linking to your site. Avoid image links.

Google does index image links, but without any text for it to index, it won't help your link popularity rating for your important keywords.

I would also say the content of the site has very big importance. Google likes the text, natural and relevant. Another words, besides links the site has to be informative to the visitors. It also increase effectiveness for the website ranking

I beg to disagree. PageRank has nothing to do with Google ranking. It's a totally different entity.

"Always try to get links from web pages with a PageRank rating of at least four" : I agree with this thing because it really gives much importance when one can get backlink from such great page rank.

I agree. You can be PR5 and rank lower in the SERPS than a PR3 targeting the same keywords.

thank you for sharing this. these are really essential factors especially when you're doing business online. Searching for good keywords can help your site indexed on search engines. You should focus on creating quality backlinks especially from high page ranked sites or blogs.

page rank and position of the web site are different things, how the google assess the importance of the site is measured in PR, this mainly depends up on the back links for the site.

You have not mentioned about the content.
Make sure you get the best quality content on your site and update it on regular basis.

Extremely sorry to say that Page Rank does not have any relation with search engine ranking factor!! So it's totally useless to talk regarding page rank here. But I can't stop myself to ask you one question. You asked that we should try to get backlinks always from a site having at least PR 4!!! If you have a site having PR 2 or 3 then how can you manage to get backlinks from a site having PR 4? Will anybody agree to give you that??

You must be sure before suggesting anything! Don't ask people to go for wrong and funny ideas!
