how do you get links on search engines ??

I am a newbie when it comes to driving traffic to your site.
I have a new site and trying to get people to check out my site.
How can i get visitors to come to my site? I know a dumb question i just need to know some reasonable good websites i can go and try to post my listing there.

The reality is there is no trick to get ranking and link in search engines. You build quality content and high quality backlinks to get ranked in search engine results.
