I do agree with all your points but specifically content is the prime factor of SEO,so excellent keyword research & its implementation in content is very essential. :)

If 10 pages has the same text on it - and 1 site differs but covers the same context ? Which would you read ? The SE crave for unique content, and will give sites provided unique content a boost, but then again - this is not enough - but will give the unique content site the edge when evenly contested on other factors!

You can actually get the full summary of what you list, with explanations and examples if you read the Google SEO Starter Guideline.

Code has nothing to do with SEO...could be mixed up and very strange...if the site is working properly, no problem for SEO

Very useful post. I just wanted to add that signing for the Webmaster Tools at the major three search engines will certainly help you with the improvements on your site.

Google's Webmaster Tools is a great tool to show you which areas of the site can use corrections or improvements.

Hello,

Take all the time that it takes to do a careful research of all your keywords and key phrases for your site, on the products or services you are trying to sell. Proper keyword research can only be done using WordTracker, the industry standard when it comes to professional keyword research.

Trying to optimize a site without knowing your real keywords is like driving a car at night with no headlights! Some will tell you they use Overture's free suggestion tool. Although that tool can help you to a limited degree, you should always use WordTracker for the best results.

Seo donts are a dime a dozen. Don’t put your site name in your meta title, the search engines will list you high without it. Don’t skimp on text, you need at least 250 words per page. Don’t put database parameters in your urls because spiders have problems reading them. Stay away from flash as much as possible for the same reason. Stick to a single subject per page, don’t wonder around like a drunken web designer! For the love of God, don’t use frames. Finally, keep your html code streamlined so search engines can read it with ease.

thanks!!
