Although, for the sake of newbies and other professionals that wants to broaden their knowledge in the SEO world, here are one:

Social Bookmarking
- It's not the technique yet, social bookmarking is one of the methods you can use to generate a lot of traffic. Although, the misuse of the method can lead to over-optimization and eventually make your website sink lower than usual.

Here's the technique. Why do I call it a technique? Because most SEOs usually takes for granted this most important thing,
your Social Bookmarking account should have a lot of friends that is interested in your products or services in your site.

If you are bookmarking a website, you should make sure that page is already indexed by search engines. Why? To avoid duplicate content. IMO, if the SE bots crawled the bookmarking site first it will make it the original content rather than the post in your website.

what ever you do in seo, it take time. so keep patience..

I think article submission is one of the best techniques... along with link exchange, blog commenting/posting, social bookmarking, and forum posting.

All the techniques are important in seo....Like blog commenting, social Bookmarking, forum posting, article submission, press release etc.....

Effective once would be

Onpage Optimization

* Keyword in URL
* Keyword in title tag
* Keyword density of 2-7%

Offpage Optimization

Get niche links which has a good PR

Just do the off page factors.. And be sure you're not doing some ethical way that will harm your site!

I'd agree with that, but I guess the OP was thinking of along the lines of what if you only have time and money to do one, what would it be?

Blog commenting, article submission, press release are good seo techniques.
