Redirecting the URL?

I own a domain named xyz.com which has a page rank of 6. The traffic on my site is comparatively high. I recently bought this new domain with the name 12e.com. I am planning to use this site as a new model as it is more SEO friendly. I would like the customers to use this new place for their products. How am I supposed to do this? Is it better to redirect the old domain to the new domain? Will this affect the page rank of the site in any way? Please let me know of any problematic issues.
