Links in a site that has nofollow attribute just simple tells search engine bots to not follow and index those links, with this tag means it is allowed to be followed (dofollow). Nofollow tag usually helps protect sites that buy and sells links from being hit of manipulation..

The dofollow tag was a big hit a few years back. It really doesn't mean a thing. if no "nofollow" is specified, a search engine is going to crawl it anyway. dofollow was a great way to gain false interest in certain link directory's, or just sites in general.
There is no way a search engine is going to place any extra importance on a dofollow tag. Allowing users to place extra importance on a link doesn't make any sense form a search engines perspective. On the contrary i think they are trying to build ranks as genuinely as possible. A dofollow tag meaning anything will only hurt their chances.
Effectively dofollow and just specifying no rel tag is the same thing.
thanks.......
