I must say that the quality of your post or comment doesn't reflect on the backlinks that you will get from it. I mean, in every post or comment that you will do whether you put some informative facts or just give a simple "thank you for your post", your signature is in it and it count as a backlink for your site. I think the quality of your post serve as your reputation in forums and not as the quality of backlinks.
