A link farm is a group of web pages that all links on every page in the other group. It is designed to increase the ranking of all sites in the results pages of search engines (SERPs). Search engines such as Google consider link farming as a form of spam and have implemented procedures to ban sites that participate in link farming.

If you notice is just collection of so many links usually those sites are not related at all. Google penalize them as they are just for ranking manipulation.

A link farm is a Web page that is nothing more than a page of links to other sites. Link farming is considered to be a black hat technique and will be heavily penalized by Google.

The process of exchanging reciprocal links with Web sites in order to increase search engine optimization. The idea behind link farming is to increase the number of sites that link to yours because search engines such as Google rank sites according to, among other things, the quality and quantity of sites that link to yours. In theory, the more sites that link to yours, the higher your ranking in the search engine results will be because the more links indicate a higher level of popularity among users of the Internet. However, search engines such as Google consider link farming as a form of spam and have been implementing procedures to banish sites that participate in link farming, so the term link farming has garnered negative connotations across the Internet.

As far as I concern with SEO. Link farm is called as Black hat techniques. I would not like to get back links from any of the black hat techniques. In place of Link farming you may get back links from Forum submission as well as Article Submission.

Link farming is where you plant a lot of links in the ground and watch them grow, and then eventually you harvest them.

So owning your own private network blogs and website with different extension org. com. and info biz and creating your unique content to these private website is also a link farming right? But guys call you still call it as a black hat technique? The fact that posting unique content on these websites going to your money sites? what do you think? because for me this is safe.

Link farming is black hat SEO technique. it simple mean when multiple sites point to our sites called link farming and those sites irrelevant our site themes.

Link farming is a group a of website which is use to get bac klink, but search engine consider it is form of spamming.
