Link velocity is often incompletely described simply as the speed at which you add incoming links to your website. In reality the simple description of link velocity is accurate, but does not take the whole picture into account. You know that the single most important factor in ranking your website high in the search engines is back links, and that a high link velocity will get you where you need to be faster.

Google is very strict with manipulation and getting too many links in short time is inappropriate.

Link velocity is simply the rate at which back links are built to a web site. If a site contains good quality, useful content, links from other sites would naturally occur randomly and on a fairly steady basis. Some articles would attract more links than others.
