what are the best tactics to follow while doing SEO to get back links ?

I have read some articles to do post comment your thread. I have read that the best way of getting one way links is to have quality content on your site. Link wheel submission is also good method of seo.

In SEO you cant get back links from just one or two activity. You have to follow all off-page optimization activity as per google guide lines. Yes unique content on your website with will surely help you to get good results. Blogs and articles are also very helpful things.

First and foremost activity is On page SEO for a new website. After that create quality back links from niche directories, top bookmarking sites, forums, blog comments and article posting and make sure all back links should be do-follow.

Think of why your link should be there, especially if it is going to be beneficial for right audience.. getting link in random place don't give much value.

I'll suggest for high quality back links instead of quantity of links. And try to get back links from variety of sources like from web 2.0 sites, forums, blogs, social media etc , not all links of same types. And don't try to get back links from spammed sites which has already 1000s of low quality links in it. Best is to getting links from high PR sites having low outbound links.

Use different keywords & linking to different page while creating back links, it looks natural to Google.

Most probably getting quality dofollow back links from high PR sites from different sources are the best ever tactics for SEO.

Follow Google guidelines and use white hat method while doing SEO, this works fine for long-term in Google.
