Domain name 4 sale - how much to bid??

Hi
A domain name I want is for sale by the current owner & I need some help in working out how much to bid, as he is not giving a price. What should I look for before bidding? Any help appreciated

The one I want has no content but is listed on google etc. but I think the guy is holding out for more than I am willing to pay.
I will have to think of another name

try to get it appraised, i think there is also a free appraisal site somewhere out there. best if appraised by a third party experienced appraiser.

Try to get the Visitors Status Reports such as Google analytics and Awstats based on that you can decide the price
