A drop domain is a type of domain that has already expired. It was previously registered for at least a year.

A domain that has expired which was previously registered for at least one year.
When someone do not renew then domains goes drop and other people can register them.

Drop domains are not much used.The domain is dropped bcos there is no business from that domain.So be confident to choose dropped domains

A domain not renewed by the owner that is scheduled for deletion from the registry is a dropping domain. Once a domain is dropped from the registry, anyone can buy it, such as through a backorder or drop catching service.

A dropping domain is a domain that has gone through the full Expiration process and has entered a cycle called Pending Delete. Once a domain name enters Pending Delete, it will automatically be released or dropped from the system after five days and become available for re-registration. This means, you get a second chance to register that perfect .CO domain name that you missed out on once before

A dropped domain means that it has expired. The owner hasn't renewed the license with their domain registrar. Usually the registrar can open bidding for that domain, and after 7 days it goes to the highest bidder.
