I think that keywords should be the beginning of the title, but it is important and the content text.

If your site is new then putting only your main keywords in the title wil not be enough, after your main keywords you can put keywords related to your site but with less competition so you can get extra traffic.

the main keyword should be on seen on the title always and should be catchy to the reader whereas they could remember your site every time they hear those keywords

Don't stuff your page with too much keywords. It's useless to 20 keyphrases on each page, or even 10. Limit it to 3-5 keywords. Make each page unique.

Keywords are helpful especially if they are used consistently. Make sure they are competitive and to not overspread them.

Concentrate on fewer keywords may give you better chance on ranking.

Definitely, keep it under 5. Ideally, I use 3 closely related keywords that do not derive from the same words.
I also think it is much better if your title makes sense. Don't forget that people see your title whey they see the SERP. Make it appealing and you will get more clicks even if your position doesn't change. I tried it and it worked.
