Keyword Density

Post by johnadam336 »

Is keyword density that important? What does this term mean? I am a newbie to SEO or Search Engine Optimization. I don’t get most of the concepts about SEO. How can this process affect my website? I am still in the process of debuting my own website. I don’t want to risk it at all. I would like to ask for some suggestions and tips from the experienced SEO experts. I hope you share what you have experienced with me. It will really be a big help for me so that I can avoid doing any mistake and do what’s best for my site. I also want to ask for any method that can be used in calculating the keyword’s density.

Keyword density is actually just the number of keywords used in an article versus the word count. To be able to calculate the keyword density of an article, you need to divide the number of keywords by the word count and then multiply this by 100. The number you get is the keyword density of your article. Most article directories prefer articles to only maintain a 2.0 keyword density, more than this and you will already be seen as keyword spamming, which is a no-no in SEO because it is a black hat strategy.

However, keyword density is not as important now as it was before. What is more essential now in SEO is the link building, the credibility of the sites you are linking to and the quality of the content you are putting forward. If you really want to get the attention of search engines, you can do this better through link building than through keyword density.

Not anymore. You don't really need to measure it. Quality content is much more important.

Keyword density is important because search engines use this information to classify the subject of a site and determine how the site is relevant. The perfect keyword density will help achieve higher search engine positions. Keyword density must be properly balanced. The keyword density tool is useful for helping webmasters and SEOs achieve their optimum keyword density for a set of key terms.

Hi yes keyword is a main power of seo..The true definition of keyword density is the ratio of the word that is being searched for, ie the keyword, against the total number of words appearing on a given web page. If your keyword occurs only once or twice in a page of 500 or more words, obviously it has a lower keyword density than a keyword that would occur six or seven times in a page of similar length.

As far as search engines are concerned, if a particular keyword has a higher density on that particular web page, then the chances of that page obtaining a much better search engine ranking increases almost exponentially. Not all search engines compute or evaluate keyword density in the same way and most have their own proprietary algorithm for calculating the average density of a keyword.

Keyword density is the percentage of times a keyword or phrase appears on a web page compared to the total number of words on the page.

Keyword density is the measurement of the keyword to total number of words in the content. It should be 3 to 4% in an article.

MrPolarZero wrote:keyword density is the amount of keywords you have used for your content or articles. Usually, the required number is 3-5 keywords only. Higher that that would be considered as keyword stuffing – a type of black hat SEO technique.
That's true.
