If you are not doing the "copy + paste" thing then I don't think you should worry that much. Paraphrasing your old content and making it more informative is not really a crime.

Try to make each contents unique and different to each other. If your contents turns up as not so much different from the old content, it may not good for SERP, but you won't get penalized for that.

If you'll be spinning the content using your own brain, it's fine. Don't use automated article spinners for they create crappy contents that don't make sense at all.

If the article submitted earlier was unique enough then it is hard to spin your blog content with some more unique content. It is highly appreciable if you add some new content to your blog at a regular interval, instead of using this kind of strategy.

It won't do harm unless you have copied the exact blog entry and reposted it again. I also did it with my two websites because I ran out of things to say.

As long as you didn't copy others work its fine. Just keep your blog more precise and unique so that lot of blogger will read it.
