Can't find any backlinks from social bookmarking sites.

Hi
I have a blog and I tried to get some backlinks from social bookmarking sites such as delicious ,digg,stumbleupon etc. But when i checked my backlinks with a online backlink checker,I couldn't find any backlinks there! Is there anything I should consider when submitting to social bookmarking sites?
Could you please anyone tell me how can i build backlinks from major social bookmarking sites such as digg,delicious,stumbleupon,fark,reddit,linkedin etc..?

Sometimes it takes a while for those links to come through. Some people say Propeller is a good way to obtain backlinks but you have to take care to promote good articles because they are quick to ban anything spammy.

So social bookmarking is also like article submission? Can't we get any backlinks without writing articles? So what does social bookmarking mean?

Sorry for lumping them in together-You are absolutely correct. Stumbleupon and Delicious are social bookmarking, and, no, you don't have to write articles though it is a good way to promote them.

Social bookmarking sites are primarily created for TRAFFIC purposes. They are not a good source of backlinks because most of them make nofollow links.

As what they've said, you can get referral traffic on Social Bookmarking sites. They are no follow, that means it won't reflect as back links but rather convert as referral traffic. Am I right?

Social bookmarking sites are usually geared towards driving traffic to your site and making people check out your site and not for building backlinks. Backlinks can be achieved through forum postings and directory submissions.

You should wait for few more days until they get cached. Further, search engine do not show all the backlinks, they only show relevant backlinks.

My friend, yahoo back links can be create through social bookmarking. I aim these sites for brand building and popularizing my product. For backlinks i aim other sources.
