Adbrite is more of a long term money maker when you have a huge traffic and can set up your own prices unlike with Adsense.

I used Abrite on my proxy site, and I would make 100x that with Adsense profits on the homepage, but yet Adbrite on the proxified pages made so much less, that I quit using their ads because they did not come through with a high payment.

I would suggest you go with Adsense, since, it has been known to give the highest payouts.

Doesn't make much money but still good to set it up and forget about it. Let it do it's thing.
I heard news that AdBrite is losing a third of its ads. That's pretty bad. They've been droppin every year, and I wouldn't be surprised if they go out of business one of these days. I used AdBrite a few years ago, but then I switched to AdEngage. It's better than AdBrite so far. The investment community doesn't know much about it because the company's based in LA.
