I was wondering where do you usually focus in promoting your websites?

In getting a good rankings in Google?

Or promoting it like Marketing in social networks?

or in other ways?

I'm just having a survey for my blogs...

In SEO i believe things are interdependent on one another, the more amount of links you have on the search engine, the better will be your rankings. The better ranking you will be having the better traffic you will generate. You need to draw a silver line where you can achieve all these things. I personally concentrate on increasing my presence over the internet through various resources available online.

I don't usually focus on one area only because in order for us to become successful, we need to do all of these strategies and dedicate time for each of these marketing campaigns. This way we can ensure the growth of our business.

I am promoting my websites through forum postings, social networkings, social bookmarkings and blog commenting...

You cannot neglect any one of them, every source as its own value in terms of SEO!

You need to use different strategies and everytime try new stuff, test, and see how it works

It's a combination of SEO and SEM. But recently, I tend to focus more on posting in social networks since my goal now is to boost my site traffic.

There a two kinds of promotion, one is through the website itself or a blog pertaining to the site being promoted

most of the time I vary on google but there are times some referral sites give huge amount of traffic so I should go to both.

I'm doing them both. Just focus in off page factors

Yes...i am agree with it.....

There are some tips:-

1.Tell your audience what kind of support they'll get after they buy
2.Ask people at the end of your copy why they decided not to buy
3.Think of ways to get your site or business in the the news.
4.Hold a contest
5.Tell your potential customers that your ordering system is highly secure. Also reassure
6.Carry business cards with you wherever you go

They have mentioned almost everything, the key here is do these things in constant velocity for purposes of link building and traffic generation.

Facebook and Twitter seems to be the easiest and fastest ways to promote a website or a blog.
