Suddenly cannot find my website on Google

Post by pdk »

A worrying things has happened - I can't find my site on Google... It seems to be well represented on other search engines, so does anyone have any ideas??

Please look at http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=www.en ... N&filter=0

This is a UK search and you can get some www.enablinguk.com references on an unrestricted search. Does anyone think I've been blocked in some way??

The home page is PR2 and some of the other pages were PR4 until I changed many of the html file names to be more relevant. These will take a while to be better indexed but that shouldn't effect the site, should it?

I do have some sister sites at www.development-seekers.com, www.investment-seekers.com and www.enablingprojects.com and co.uk - although these are graphically similar are not indentical...

I've also put a 'keyword Zone' at the bottom of my home page, which is not hidden in any way so I felt it was OK - please see bottom of www.enablinguk.com.

Does anyone feel that anything is counting against me, or do I have to just to be patient?? It is very worrying when ratings come and go like this...

It is also strange that the submit express link popularity tool always has good link numbers when searching my site on other search engines but Google is always 0 or 1 links... I know there are many more links out there in cyberspace!!

Any help would be appreciated...

Regards,

PETER

you may want to make sure Google sees your homepage as the main page in your site.

It has happened to me a few times...it takes up to a week to get your pages back in. But as Vista says, they will come back.

Same for me. I can find only the home page but I'm not able to find any other page. They were indexed about 2 weeks ago when they disapeared and since then I'm not able to find them.

Adiian, how old is your site? You might be in the sandbox and that is why your results disappeared!

I have www.grouptherapi.com and all of a sudded every page except the index page was de-indexed. This was about 2 months ago. I have since changed the main page and sitemap (the page layout) and made sure that the coding was acceptable...so hopefully things will change : )

People just get too scared too quickly over their drop in the engines. This happens daily to everyone and you are no different. Please calm down everyone and just keep working!
