You must try for relevant links by link exchange with same niche and little bit focus on article submission that would be good to get permanent links and good SERP.

Quality link building will help you improve your rankings.
Please keep in mind that in Google webmaster tool you can see back links from top domain only from which you get maximum number of links. or check back links with backlinkwatch , it might show.
