My Site Ranking Droped

Hello Guys

I have a portal www.printbeat.co.uk .Few weeks ago i had a PR of 4 Even i changed the layout for my Project nothing hapend and still had PR 4.but suddenly after a week I lost the PR to 0 i dont know what happend

Anybody can guide me about this

did you change your content? if yes,, surely thats one of the reason..
or
do you continue gathering backlinks from your site? if not,, then probably it would be a big factor of your PR's loss!

How long does the PR4 stays at your site?
Is it 5 months above? Anyway, if you notice many site drops their PR because google changes their factors in determining one's page value. Ben might be right, that you fail to acquire many links that's why you drop from PR4 to PR0.

i am working on backlinks from very first day.and i guess i have lots of Backlinks ponting toward my websites. You can check some of them.

But still i lost my PR which is still 0 i dont know what to do.If you guys have a good list of Direcotrties and Website for Backlinks let me know.

I wonder if you buy links? google get frowned to those who buy links.. Anyway, why worry about PR? you still have the chance to get some PR in the next PR update.. Just be sure to gather links in natural way, not by spamming.. as of now, just focus on your traffic..

There are several reason why PR dropped... If your backlinks was deleted, where other sites remove your links from their sites), you are penalized, by changing your link profile (structure)....

I have the same problem. But i have found what the matter is: it has the name "Google SLAP". Not only we - tiny fishes - "Washington Post" have partly lost their PR:


Google tap-danced all over the place, CRUSHING a lot of sites.

Some people lost ALL PageRank, and everybody and their brother
have blogged about it, spreading gossip, rumor, and misinformation.


And Google itself delivered me a few days later the answer of question "What is the purpose of this Tap-DANS!!!! IT is simply BLACKMAIL! After that you do not have other choice except for PAY TO GOOLE FOR YOU SEO POSITION AND TRAFFIC!

crushing sites???!! PR is not a big deal anymore! you can rank high in SERP even if you don't have PR... its just like google wants us to realize that PR is not that important..

well change it content (major ones) then link changes and many other things like design changes do affect the page rank

i had a page rank of 5 which dropped to 4 then straight to 2
now i have to work on it again to get back the rank,
but there was not a very big change on the search engine results

PR does not play any role for SERP. Many sites has been lose PR by last update but effect on SERP is nihil.

Don't panic many of the site also has the same problem like you...... Just continue to build more link and it will came back again.
