Yeah like everyone said site submission to directories is a great idea, you should build yourself a list of search engines and directories with high PR that you can submit to once you build a new site.

Try to gather directories where you don't have to spend 15 min to fill out a form, same goes with search engines. Makes the processes of submission much easier.

I don't trust automatic submission, manual is the way to go.
