Difference Betwween Google.com and Google.co.uk

IMHO, not much differences. Maybe just that the preferences of the results that are fetched, for .co.uk, more results related to such domain will be shown.

They are still the same company, but different country. .com is for US while .co.uk is for UK.

Google.co.uk gives more preference to UK based .co.uk website rather than US based website. If you are focusing on UK search engines, then you should try to get links from UK based .co.uk or websites hosted in UK.
