There is no sought of penalize from G in changing your title of website but you need to update your keywords. Get some backlink for new title of webpage

I have had a ton of success with changing the page title to rank for different keywords. It can only help your rankings. You may see your ranking dance for a bit though.

I usually change my title tag when i want a certain keyword to get listed on google. And if achieved the rankings for that keyword then i will look for another keywords that need to be prioritize.

There are not any penalty by google after changing title.

But keep in mind that change your title according to your keywords otherwise you position in google can change.

Your Title is the #1 on page SEO factor so yes it has consequences to change it. I would think it out well because by changing it to different keywords, you might lose the progress you have made on previous keywords. Just be careful with the title tag.

yes... there's no penalty there.. but when you change your title... don't be surprise if google shows the old title when you check your ranking.. because, when you change something on your site... to need to give time to SE's to crawl your updated site Very Happy

You will not get any penalties but your rankings will change. Some of keywords might not be on top rankings.
