There are so many different factor that Google understand the highest rank site. They understand it by the contents, keywords, traffic and back links. These are the most important factors of SEO.

Pleased to be a part of this.

Original informative content and backlinks are indeed essential and most experts would ask you to concentrate more on these aspects. But, imho. CTR or click through rate is one factor that I suppose to play an important role in the SERP's of Google. I believe the more a particular anchor text gets clicked the better is the position gained in the search results. Though this is after I conducted a test on this aspect, others might have a different opinion on this. Please enlighten me with your views on this.

You dont need to use it, because Google Adwords and other PPC programs are related mostly to SEM, not SEO. SEO is the way how to drive organic traffic from search engines.
