After recent update, lots of hot sites decreased in PR. I think google has changed something in algorithm and it will be harder to get high PR from now on.

Yes buddy google is unpredictable .

My site is running from the last 3 months and having 300 = backlinks but still PR is 0 .

better focus on traffic and sales...

Yah i also think thats the reason.. i believe thats what meant by matt cutts in his blog about what he said that don't focus more on PR..

I didn't read the blog of matt cutts about focusing on PR, but just wondering if anyone can tell me what is the other major alternetive I should focus to have Google ranking websites, giving them a good treatment. I think we could only guess what's going on with Google.

Any idea?

May be we are thinking too much about the PR these days

Develop your website for the user and not for the search engines. A site must be a trusted authority site to do well in Google. My site suffered a PR decrease with the last algo change...now I need to rethink my website design.

It is better if you considerate first your users / your readers. Coz if you'll get connected to them easily, search engines just follows. Because once you've gained big popularity and back links, that's the time you'll get a high PR.

right. think that, google is not existed!! then concentrate on your content, backlinks etc... then you will have good business, people know you, you are so popular then google MUST grant you a high rank - no other way around!!

I think you must choose a relevance site before you submit your site and to increase quality link with your site. Which is the better way to increase PR.

Impressed by what vietnam..........said .Just think that google dont exist and work on our site .Rightly said we all these days are making a site for google and not for the user which is totally wrong.

i think cause it's so easy and very abusing before... someone can easily create new site, boost it's backlink and whoa it gains green bar...

now i think google really make a good process, they deeply emphasize on stronger quality backlinks and they include on-page as important variable

and it should takes time to ensure that someone really work hard to gain pr....

Did you check your link in googe link:yourdomain.com?
How many link does it show?

I personally think that the PR indicator is just a way for Google to get more people to install their toolbar. It is basically their for entertainment purposes.

It is so simple to get your website ranked in the top 10 SERPs without having a high pagerank or none at all.

I have a website that have over 3000 different keywords and phrases in the top 10 ib Google SERPs.
Another website over 2000 keywords in the top 10.

I have two single digit keyword that is in the top 100 from 6.5 billion websites in Google SERPs.

Some of my websites have 10 backlinks and others 100+

PR is just there for entertainment. Ignore it
