Post by kathiny »

I want to share the tips here:

-Write the better content
-Increase quality links into pages
-Scale back internal link anchor text
-Do website audit to determine problem areas
-Remove links from blogrolls
-Make sure links anchor text is more natural
-Add more social elements, i.e. Google+, Pininterest Sharing
So my blog is 20 days old today and it is the first day I broke 1000 unique views. Its growing slowly but surely! Any promotion techniques I can use besides propeller and seo?

That's a great list. Do you have any recommendations on how to remove links? I recently received the unnatural links message from Google, but don't even know where to begin.

Most of sites affected by Penguin are due to low quality content and bad backlinks, these should be fixed first before gathering strong backlinks.

Honestly, I doubt anyone has recovered yet but that doesn't stop SEOs from sharing tips and techniques they are using in an attempt to break lose from the Penguin's grip (do they have grips?).

The first thing you should know is that this is an algorithmic update, so if you make the right change and Google recrawls, indexes and processes your site - the next time Google runs a Penguin refresh, your site will start ranking again. Submitting a reconsideration request will not help you re-rank if Penguin hit you.

Second thing is that Panda hit a few days before and people are confusing being hit by Penguin versus Panda.
