Do email marketing,PPC advertisement, banner advertising and all other paid activities because you can't get these volume of visits from SEO in such a short time period.

Hmm it all depends on one thing:
Are you looking for long term traffic or short term boost?
Yes most people opt for long term but most of them don't realize the work needed to get that long term traffic. You can get it from Social Marketing, SEO, Classified Ads, Video Marketing, and many others but i would recommend SEO or Social Marketing as they bring in the most visitors IMO. So yes build backlinks but do it right. Don't have the resources to build those links check out my signature, makes it easy.

I find that doing your normal SEO work will also improve your traffic. If you get your website up the rankings that of course gives you the best traffic. One thing I would focus on is making sure your website is appealing as well so the bounce rate isn't too high. You want people to flow through the site as well as just visiting and going straight off.
