Google Index ?

Hello,
I submited my site to the search engines, and google has indexed my home page, but not any internal pages. Why would they index my home page but not any internal pages?

do your all of the pages you want to index are seen in your sitemap page? do you build links on you sub pages?

I haven't created a sitemap yet, and I don't have any links pointing to sub pages.
Would that help my other pages to get indexed?

yup! internal linking of page helps each other's page.. create a sitemap and then submit it in google, yahoo and msn...

yup! internal linking of page helps each other's page.. create a sitemap and then submit it in google, yahoo and msn...
So what you are saying is that when I exchange links with other sites, don't point them all to my home page, spread them with my internal pages?

Google did the same to me. When my site was new, I only had my homepage indexed for the longest time. But, as long as each page on your site is linked together, Google will crawl deeper into your site and index every page.

How many pages do you have. Just make one or two pages that you want them to be more important. Put keywords, you main content and main point of the website.. and link them to other pages...
If google indexed ur main page.. then its fine....,

My site has over 1500 unique pages,but google has indexed the main page only.
I guess it could take a while for google to index the other pages? Should I point Links to some of these other pages, would that help?

Any time I add a new page to my site, I put a link on my home page until it gets indexed. My home page is my most frequently visited and updated page by Googlebot.
Also, I talk about it in my blog and put a link back to the new page.
It helps pages get indexed faster. Though, I only have 100 pages in my site and I build them slowly. I think it would be difficult to post 1000 links on your homepage.
But, I would build a sitemap and that will help Google find and index all of your pages.

indeed! it will really help your subpages crawled and indexed by SE's..

Cool, I checked again today and google has indexed about 50 new pages. But none of them have PR including my Home page.
I"m assuming they will get PR after time, right?

What's going on I checked again today and now there are only 3 pages indexed, instead of 50 pages like yesterday.
Why is this?

I assume that your site is very new and doesn't have much popularity. Then it's normal to see some up and downs in positions and in number of indexed pages, etc...

Yes internal link is very important to get indexed by google and also create a site map.

Keep those quality natural links coming to your site, if you could promote your important internal pages, the better.
On yahoo, i see here your site have 19 pages indexed.
