How often will google index an entire site?

Google has hit my home page twice in the last two weeks but no other pages. Why only my home page and no others?
Also, I have over 20,000 pages in this site but google has only indexed about 670 of them. The site has been up for about 5 months so why hasn't google found all the pages?

Hi Muthu,
The reason Google only visited your home page rather others is every site’s home page is strong than others everyone focus & optimize more on the home page compared to others and it is like a parent page of all others and visitors mostly visits home so Google always visit for updates so that is natural.
About your total 200000 pages, there are many sites like forums, news etc having thousands of pages and their all pages are get indexed, there are many pages where no one visited since they created. But by the time and continues optimization they will get indexed. You can submit some important pages with their deep link to the directories to get list soon.

internal linking of your pages can help your other page crawled by robots...

http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/ to create a site map, its good and free

Interlink all pages and try to get some good backlinks for internal pages.

Create the sitemap and submit it. Google will index the site quickly
