Duplicate content for the Google Bots

I have a site that carries a couple thousand items, and have put section pages under differant headings. In other words I have put tops under a. clothing, b. dancer wear c. exotic clothing. So is this what google considers duplicate content? I have done it to make it easier to sell it, and easier for the customer to find it, but have I just made a whole heck of a lot of duplicate content? Ouch?
The same listing may appear on the site 2-3 times in differant areas.

Duplicate content might hurt your site. Since you have articles that 'calls' on a specific term which is "tops", You can use link bait..

as long as your describing the page correctly and didn't repeat targeted keywords many times,, i believe it will not fall under duplicate content...

If the content of your page is same & pages are index in google ...................
This looks like the duplicate content & google will penalize this

It still depends on how he included the content in the different categories of the site..
take a look at what
