Goggle keep building its reputation as punisher. First it make a criteria "more links with high PR is better", and then it start punishing the sites who make Google's gream come true, at the same time making nervice the rest of web community what will be the next site to get punished.

Some big sites were hit by this... It's a proof that Google is sticking with their rules and guidelines...

Is it true that google penalized the selling paid link? is this the reason the delay of page rank. According to Danny Sullivan, selling paid link may hurt your page rank and ranking on google. you may read it here,
