PR for subdomains?

I know PR gets knocked off by 1 point at a time for every subdirectory you go further into the site. Is the case the same for subdomains or are they treated as completely different sites?
Does the googlebot follow submit button links?

Will the google spider follow the link in the following example? Also, will this count as an outgoing link on the page?

That is not counted as a link. It's an action button on a form not a link.

leftybogs was right.. all links/internal links are treated as different by SE.. So if you want your internal links to have a good PR..You can submit it to directories that accepts deep links..

not different site,, but different page... SE's were focusing on every page,, not as the whole site...but of course the home page has more weight compare to other page and subpages...

Sometimes my sub pages has higher PR than my Homepage.
