Goggle Yahoo competition

Actually, the latest March 2008 US Share of Searches shows the following stats:
Google 59.8%, Yahoo 21.3%, Microsoft 9.4%, AOL 4.8%, Ask 4.7%
Does it say anything about the gap between Google & Yahoo?

yahoo is bigger in the search share but it is LONG way to keep up with google. pay attention to optimize with google and of course donot forget yahoo and live!

You should focus on Google first then Yahoo. You will get more than 90% traffic from these 2 search engines

woah! that too huge amount percent of gap though. Anyway, though others say pay attention on google, I agree on that but still pay a little attentions on others search engines too.. Those other percent can still give you traffic.

My primary target is to rank at Google second is Yahoo an others.

There is definate gap between two. But should not ignore anyone.

Indeed both of them are important and of course google is my priority and next is yahoo!

I prefer Google. but yahoo is also good search engine. I always goes with Google.

I make it a point that all my rank at yahoo and goolge are always at the top.

The latest marketshare of Google from Hitwise is 67.9% , Yahoo 20.3% , MSN 6.3% . If Google and Yahoo will be partnered, it will be monopoly in the pricing.

I think because Google earn the biggest search engine in the world.

No doubt google is the best. However, there is a section of users who use Yahoo and if the site is not optimized on yahoo you are bound to loose out on that traffic.
