Site is not indexed by google

Hi when i type into google my website, e.g
domainname. co. uk it doesnt show up, instead what shows up is a domain name which should be redirecting to the .co.uk, so example instead of domainname. co .uk showing, domain-name . com appears. How can i rectify this.

Also just to point out my .co.uk site version is indexed in msn and yahoo, the only problem is google.

When you type domain name and google not shows link it means site is not indexed in google first try to get indexed. start link building soon so that you will get backlinks too.

Redirect Old domain to New domain (htaccess redirect)

Create a .htaccess file with the below code, it will ensure that all your directories and pages of your old domain will get correctly redirected to your new domain.
The .htaccess file needs to be placed in the root directory of your old website (i.e the same directory where your index file is placed)

RewriteRule (.*) http://www.newdomain.com/$1 [R=301,L]

Please REPLACE www.newdomain.com in the above code with your actual domain name.

In addition to the redirect I would suggest that you contact every backlinking site to modify their backlink to point to your new website.

How old is your site?

Use some Search Engine commands like "site:yoursite.com" and "info:yoursite.com" to check your visibility.

Try to do some link building so that your site will get indexed immediately. If your site is just new, all you have to do is to wait.

this doesn't really address the problem does it? I had the same problem before and I know that my site was indexed with google.

Hi there. I don't see how the type of redirect used could be an issue here? Except for maybe if you use a script, and your bury your target site in all code, Google wouldn't be able to find your new site. Other than that what difference does it make which redirection method you use?
