While the meta tags element is now widely acknowledged to have little SEO value, certain search engines still refer to meta keyword content.
It's always a good idea to thoroughly theme your pages, including meta keywords.

There's nothing wrong using meta tags even if others mention they are not effective anymore, use them to represent and give much information both for users and SE bots. Investigate those who rank on your targeted keyword, check their tags.

I think search engine still use meta tags because when searching your keywords in search engine they sometimes bold the keywords within meta tags.

Yes, all of the search engine crawl meta tags. The only problem is what site Google or Yahoo crawling?

I think both yahoo and google use meta tags. Because its very necessary for search engine.

Google trawls webpages to pick up words in which to build it's search engine database. Yahoo searchs page meta tags and takes user submissions to build its.
Yahoo searches are only as good as the information given in the page header or via description when submitted.
