How to remove bad neighborhood websites linked to me??

Can somebody check and tell me if http://www.thetimeshareauthority.com/ is clean website, no spam?

What do you mean? Are these links added on your "directory"? If yes, you can email each one and tell them that you are removing them. Or simlply, delete them without their knowledge.

Yeah you can ask them one by one...

As for this problem, google are more on what are in your control, means some factors on site ranking somewhat depends on who you are linking too since you can't control who links to you...

Others linking to you should not bring down your ranking. It wont be fair if google works that way. But they penalise for some inbound links, like paid links.

Thats right. You do it immediately before its too late. Its so hard to contact each one of the webmasters.

You need to check if the site is banned from google. There are tools for checking it. If you want to remove neighborhood website , you need to contact the webmasters of that site and or contact the google webmaster.

I think the important thing is not to link from your own site to a bad neighborhood

This site is not bad site coz it is stiil index in google.

you can send request to the irrelevant sites for removing from the listings

Bad neighborhood sites are sites that are banned, or using black hat techniques which can get them banned.

Check if the site is indexed, and that the webdesign is porperly... if it looks ok, then probably it fine!

Try not to make reciprocal links and other links with bad neighborhood site by yourself, then you souldn't warry if some one from bad neighborhood linked to you without your knowladge. That's what I think, otherwise it would be very eazy to harm any site with bad links. I think Google is smart enough to avoid punishing action for such things. IMO

This site is being indexed by Google and is currently being checked by McAfee for any significant problems with the site.

If you really do not want the link, kindly ask them to remove it.

you have to send a email to the sites which you thing bad neighbor good for removing your links.if suppose forum means remove yourself that POST

For me, I'll review first the sites that link to me and if I feel uncomfortable being "somehow" connected with them, I will automatically remove it. No more permission needed. In the first place I own and rule my own site.

The problem is defining what constitutes a "bad neighborhood". Has it been blacklisted? How did you determine this?
